  • Castello del Boccale

The Castello di Boccale is situated in a breathtaking view, with a castle overlooking the sea and natural springs where you may swim away from the dangerous cliffs. The smooth cliff also serves as a pleasant solarium for children who want to learn to swim safely.

  • Castello di Meleto

The first evidence of Meleto dates back to the eleventh century, when the castle belonged to the Benedictine monks of the Badia a Coltibuono. Thanks to its position, near the border between the territories of the Republics of Florence and Siena, the castle became first the main Florentine bulwark of the area and later one of the main fortifications in the Terziere di Gaiole of the Chianti League. This made the castle a coveted prey between the two contenders, although it never suffered serious destruction.

  • Castello di Porrona

The castle of Porrona is a fortified structure located in the medieval village of Porrona, in the municipality of Cinigiano. Its location is in the square of the historic center, at the western corner of the perimeter of the walls of Porrona.

  • Castello di Spedaletto

One of the most interesting Swabian castles that Frederick II built in Southern Italy, the Castle of Trani stands by the sea in defense of the city.

  • Castello di Castiglione della Pescaia

Castiglione della Pescaia was an important fortified settlement since the Etruscan and Roman times. The castle, located at the north-west corner of the wall, was enlarged in the 15th century, by the Spanish, with the construction of a wall that joined the Torre Pisana to two towers of the walls, so delimiting the inner courtyard.

  • Castello Malaspina di Malgrate

The mighty Malaspina Castle of Malgrate dominates since a long time the valley of the river Bagnone, tributary of the river Magra, with its characteristic round tower crowning a hill that exalts its strategic position. The position of this castle, overlooking a vast plane, emphasizes its historical role in controlling the roads coming from the Cisa Pass, the Appennines and the Garfagnana.

  • Castello di Romena

The castle of Romena, one of the most majestic monumental castles of the Counts Guidi del Casentino, stands on a hill of 626 m above sea level and it preserves the vestiges of its ancient greatness in the structures of the area of the keep. The three large fortified towers and various parts of the three concentric fortified circles arranged on different heights testify to the various construction phases between the eleventh and fourteenth centuries.

  • Castello di Oliveto

In the heart of the Florentine hills, just over 30 km from Florence, 50 km from Siena and well connected to the most evocative places in Tuscany, is the Castle of Oliveto, an ancient manor of the fifteenth century, built by the noble family of Pucci.

  • Castello delle Verrucole

The fortress of Verrucole is a fortress located in San Romano in Garfagnana in the province of Lucca, in the Garfagnana, of which the first testimonies date back to the Middle Ages.
