Capital of Liguria, it is a city of art recognized as a UNESCO heritage site for its famous Palazzi dei Rolli. They were built in the years between 500 and 600 as residencies of the most powerful aristocratic families of the Republic of Genoa and they were meant to show the world the greatness of the city. These elegant palaces were included in the city registers called "rolli" and the families who lived there had the duty and honor of hosting, by drawing lots, illustrious travelers as princes, ambassadors and prelates.The Royal Palace it’s home to one of the two National Galleries that can be found in the city.

Manarola is a paradise of vines and olive trees. Taggia is proud of its agricultural soul and is the home of the delicious Taggiasca olives. The famous basil, which grows luxuriantly everywhere here, is a very popular aroma in local cuisine and the main ingredient of the tasty Pesto alla Genovese. You can't say Genoa without saying focaccia , very simple and delicate focaccia bread with rosemary.
