    Lagoni di Mercurago

The park, 473 hectares wide, stretches near the southern coast of Lake Maggiore. It is a large “green lung” consisting of woods, meadows, and pasturelands. It is a characteristic habitat with wide, calm pools and small, silent marshes. The origin of the place dates back to the end of the latest glaciations, when some source came to the surface amongst the ancient deposits of boulder clay, typical of the area, generating the attractive "Lagoni".

    The Vigezzo Valley

The Vigezzo Valley offers a wealth of winter sports facilities for all the family. A cross-country ski trail through snowy pinewoods and clearings links Malesco, Santa Maria Maggiore, and Druogno. People who enjoy downhill skiing will love the high Piana di Vigezzo, with its 20 km of marvellous, panoramic slopes and an altitude difference of 1,240 m. A brand new cableway with 8-seater cabins comfortably takes you from Prestinone to the Piana (1726 m).
