SPORTS AND ACTIVITIES
You can do lots of sports and activities in the Dolomites like ski, Skate, Hike, Snowshoing, and many others. The Superski area , one of the largest in the world, has over 1,200 kilometers of slopes.

The Dolomiti Superski Area
In total there are more than 800 kilometers of ski slopes in Trentino. Two large areas make up the the majority of Trentino's ski area: the Dolomiti Superski area, the largest ski *area in the world, and the Skirama Dolomiti Adamello Brenta. Dolomites Superski area is one of the largest in the world; it has over 1,200 kilometres of slopes. The legendary Bellunese is a non-stop descent of 12 kilometers: from the 3,269 meters of Punta Rocca to the 1,450 meters of Malga Ciapela ,a real spectacle.

Alta Badia Snowshoeing
In Alta Badia, Cadore, Cortina d'Ampezzo, Val di Fassa, Val Gardena, and Val Pusteria you can go snowshoeing. You can follow snowshoeing trails that go from Passo Falzarego, situated at an altitude of 1724 meters above sea level (in the 'Cian Zope' area), to the Cinque Torri refuge. Then, you can continue until you reach the Scoiattoli refuge, situated at an altitude of 2255 meters above sea level. From the refuge you can admire the Tofana di Rozes, the Passo Falzarego, the Lagazuoi and Alta Badia. The Cinque Torri area, a symbol of the Ampezzo Dolomites, is near the refuges of Averau and Nuvolau. In winter, you can reach it on foot or by chairlift. You can go skiing and snowshoeing in the ski area Lagazuoli Cinque Torri.

Tofane
You can take a cabin lift to admire the skyline of Cortina: go up to Tofana (Pocol), then take the Cortina Skyline gondola lift, enter the Cinque Torri area, and then descend towards the Falzarego Pass. Go up to Lagazuoi by cable car. From Lagazuoi you can go down to Alta Badia along the Armentarola slope, which leads to the Scotoni Refuge, Capanna Alpina, and finally San Cassiano.

Cortina Skating
The skating rink is open in winter as well as in summer. You can go skating if you know how to skate or you can learn some basic skills with the help of qualified instructors. Built in 1956 for the Winter Olympics in Cortina, the Olympic Ice Stadium is an indoor ice rink. In the stadium there is also an equipment rental point, a café, a solarium and a baby park for the little ones.

Madonna di Campiglio
Madonna di Campiglio is perfect for hiking, trekking, cycling, and mountain biking. Don't forget to reach at least one of the five glacial lakes: Serodoli, Gelato, Ritorto, Nero, and Lambin. The new Campiglio Dolomiti di Brenta - Val di Sole - Val Rendena Ski Area extends from Doss del Sabion in Pinzolo to the slopes of Madonna di Campiglio, and up to Folgarida-Marilleva in Val di Sole. There are 150 km of slopes with different difficulty ratings that are part of the largest ski area in all of Trentino. The area is in the middle of the Brenta Dolomites, which are a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Arabba Ski Area
Arabba offers a unique experience even to the most experienced of skiers. In Arabba, at an altitude of 1,600 meters, you can leave the hotel and reach the cable car wearing your skis. It is an area of great ski tours, such as the Giro dei Quattro Passi, the famous Sellaronda, and the Giro della Grande Guerra, which will take you among trenches and forts of the First World War. You can also visit the Marmolada Great War Museum in the Serauta cable car station, at an altitude of about 3,000 meters.
